Crown & Champa Resorts was again recognized in the industry by winning four nominations at the Maldives Travel Awards Gala 2017, presented by the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).
The Maldives Travel Awards Gala 2017 is one of the prestigious honors in the travel and hospitality industry, recognizing and celebrating outstanding commitment, excellence and expertise in the Maldivian Tourism Industry. The event was graced by the chief guests including the Maldives Minister of Home Affairs, Azleen Ahmed and Maldives former Vice President, Mohamed Waheedudheen and attended by more than 250 travel professionals and executives from Maldives and abroad, representing the leading local and international travel brands.
Winners for Maldives Travel Awards 2017 was decided by a collective score based on Traveler reviews and popular vote and had over a 100,000 people participating in the voting process.
With awards for 27 categories and been nominated in12 categories, Crown & Champa Resorts and its brands won accolades in;
- Outstanding Commitment to Sustainability Award – An award especially dedicated from MATATO to Crown & Champa Resorts
- Leading Local Hotel/ Resort Brand – Crown & Champa Resorts

The Maldives Travel Awards Gala 2017 was held on November 23, 2017 at the Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, Maldives.
