World Health Day 2018: The Road to World-Class Healthcare in the Maldives

April 6, 2018

A month after the opening of much-anticipated Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale’, the first state-of-the-art tertiary institution in the Maldives, the hospital has already marked more milestones towards the goal of providing advanced medical services to locals, expatriates and tourists.

On March 15, 2018, Tree Top Hospital successfully completed the first-ever cardiac procedure in the country, led by Dr. Pietro Gaetano, Interventional Cardiologist and assisted by a skilled team of cardiac nurses.

‘This is an important milestone for us in establishing Cardiology as a super specialty and elevating our inpatient care as a whole. We are committed to providing the best cardiac procedures so our patients get the care they need close to home” – Dr. Roland Fasol, Director of Medical Services and Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Tree Top Hospital.

The world-class healthcare institution has also introduced the Tree Top Hospital Direct Transfer Service, which provides complimentary ferry and van transfer services exclusively for guests with appointments.

These milestones go a long way towards the Hospital’s vision to provide international healthcare standards and high quality outcomes in the Maldives.
