Once again, Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR) will be exhibiting at the 2^nd annual Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) as a premium exhibitor, from May 1 – 3, 2018. The event will be held at Dharubaaruge, Male’, Maldives and Crown & Champa Resorts will be exhibiting at booth A05.

 

The event marked a milestone in the Tourism industry as the first International Travel Trade Show in the Maldives, hosted by Maldives Getaway with over 100 Resorts and 150 industry professionals attending. Here is what you need to know about the Maldives’ growing tourism event:

 

Success of TTM 2017

The 1^st edition of TTM concluded successfully on July 13th, 2017, with business contracts worth over US$1 billion discussed during the two-day travel trade show. More than 100 hoteliers held over 4,000 meetings with 150 agents and tour operators from across the globe.

 

TTM 2018 Partnerships

Crown & Champa Resorts have signed as premium exhibitors at Travel Trade Maldives for the 2^nd year in a row with Champa Central Hotel, in the heart of Male’ City, signing as Hotel Partner for the event as well.

 

TTM 2018 Events

Exhibitors and visitors can look forward to a variety of exciting vents during the 2-day trade show, including the Maldives Supplier Expo 2018, an invitation-only event with over 1000 key decision makers and purchasing chiefs and the prestigious TTM Gala Night to celebrate and conclude the event.

 

The TTM Hotelier Summit Maldives, held April 30, 2018 at Bandos Maldives, offers a solution-oriented platform that facilitates face-to-face meetings, networking activities, and information exchange amongst the most elite assemblage of hotel owners and general managers. Event speakers include Ministry of Tourism, as well as international delegates from Booking.com and Expedia.

Leading Resorts group, Crown & Champa Resorts will be attending the annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, from April 22 to 25, 2018. The global event, held at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre is celebrating its 25^th year – a notable milestone.

 

ATM first opened its doors in 1994 at the Dubai World Trade Centre with 52 nations, 300 exhibitors and 7,000 trade visitors. 25 years later, the exhibition is considered the benchmark for the Middle Eastern and North African tourism, which facilitates US$2,5 billion in industry deals, and attracts 2,500 exhibitors from 153 countries and over 28,000 influential visitors.

 

The theme this year is Responsible Tourism and certainly a topic of major importance to the Travel & Hospitality Industry, and to destinations around the world. Last year, the award-winning hospitality group recorded a successful exhibition at ITB Berlin, making a large number of quality business contacts with travel industry professionals and successfully further meeting the goal to promote the growing portfolio of properties.

Christmas Eve on Kuredu Island Resort & Spa started with the switching on of the lights, Christmas dinner and a sultry snow party. Santa arrived on Christmas Day on a jet ski to hand out gifts and ended off the excitement with a Beach BBQ Dinner.

The fun continued after Christmas Day with the Christmas Crab Race, a relaxed Christmas Movie and a scrumptious stroll through the Christmas Street Market, which led up to the annual Kuredu Gladiator Fight & Fire Poi. The final hours of 2017 at Kuredu were rung in with a New Year’s dinner and an epic pool party.

The enchanting Hurawalhi Island Resort was a paradise of Christmas celebrations with extravagant cocktails, a picturesque gala dinner and beach party to match.

The island’s New Year’s Eve was an unforgettable gala dinner and tropical soirée with bubbles from Tattinger, followed by a champagne brunch on new Year’s Day.

Veligandu Island Resort & Spa partied the festive season away with delicious dinners, lively entertainment, hilarious games of couple’s lip reading and chill-out saxophone sessions, just to name a few. All guests who purchased a bottle of champagne during New Year’s Eve took part in a festive Champagne Lucky Draw for a chance to win the grand prize of a 7-night stay at Veligandu Island Resort & Spa and more.

Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa kicked off the festivities with gingerbread house building, Christmas and New Year’s greeting card crafts, Christmas movies and toy making with coconut leaves

On Christmas Eve Santa arrived bearing gifts for the little ones, with harmonious Christmas Carols by the island choir with the night ending in a Christmas Gala Dinner and exuberant party.

The New Year’s countdown was celebrated with cocktails, a gala dinner, a party filled with giveaways and best wishes for 2018.

If you know Meeru Island Resort & Spa, then you know there was something for everyone this festive season. Beginning with a journey through the history and culture of the Maldives, nature walks on the island, chill-out sessions and live bands, canoe races and a treasure hunt for kids.

Christmas Eve saw Santa arrive by boat to surprise the kids with gift. The celebration continued with a night of cocktails, a gala dinner and a chance to dance the night away at the annual party.

The countdown to 2017 was the perfect time for a sunset chill-out session, gala dinner and beach party. New Year’s Day started with the fun-filled annual Meeru Guests Vs. Staff Football.

Our adults-only island, Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, had a charming festive season with a cocktail making class, Santa’s arrival, a Christmas dinner and party on Christmas Eve.

As a build-up to New Year’s Komandoo had interactive Maldivian Handcrafts Class, yoga, fruit craving and sushi making before setting off on the last sunset cruise for 2017. New Year’s Eve was celebrated in style with a masquerade ball and champagne countdown.

From November 6 – 8, 2017, Crown & Champa Resorts will be exhibiting at the leading global event for the travel industry, WTM London. Currently in it’s 37^th year, WTM London is the main show in the World Travel Market portfolio.

 

This year, Crown & Champa Resorts has seen success at 2 of the WTM shows – the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai and WTM Connect Asia in Malaysia, both in the month of May 2017.

 

WTM London offers the unique opportunity to network with over 51 000 industry professionals from 182 countries and regions. The three-day show will also be concluding with the renowned WTM Festival, where exhibitors will showcase their various cultures.
