Defining Excellence in Hospitality

May 29, 2019

At Crown & Champa Resorts, we strive to provide excellent hospitality that ensures the highest standard of customer satisfaction. However, without the support of guests, partners and our incredible team, these efforts would be futile. We are proud to announce that we were awarded the 2019 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

This award is bestowed on businesses that have consistently garnered great reviews on TripAdvisor, with only a small percentage of companies being able to accomplish that. For us, most of our properties received the 2019 Certificate of Excellence, with some of them entering into the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame. The latter is in recognition of properties that have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence every year for the last five years.

The properties that received the 2019 Certificate of Excellence are Hurawalhi Island Resort, Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, Meeru Island Resort & Spa, Veligandu Island Resort & Spa and Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa.

We wish to thank all the guests who share feedback on review platforms, helping spread the news of the greatness of Crown & Champa Resorts. While we appreciate the awards, our greatest reward lies in satisfying guests’ needs.

World Turtle Day & Why We Are Celebrating It

May 23, 2019
Kuredu Turtle Release with Olive Ridley Project

On May 23, 2019, the world observes World Turtle Day. This is an annual observance that is marked to celebrate and create awareness on the need for the protection of turtles from their disappearing habitats across the world. In the Maldives, the tropical waters are home to many of the seven species of sea turtles. Guests travel from far and wide to explore the sea in search of these wonderful creatures.

Across our properties, there are opportunities to spot sea turtles. Green Sea Turtles can be frequently observed in Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, where there is seagrass aplenty. In neighbouring Komandoo Island Resort & Spa’s house reef, you are likely to eye Green Sea Turtles as well as Hawksbill Sea Turtles. Turtle Reef, a dive site just off Innahura Maldives Resort, is the location where 48 Hawksbill Sea Turtles were spotted in a single dive! In the south, Loggerhead Sea Turtles and Leatherback Turtles have been spotted in the South Ari Atoll waters where Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa is located. Most of our resorts have excursions that allow you to hopefully spot these gentle creatures.

Though turtles have existed more than 100 million years, outliving dinosaurs, they are rapidly disappearing. Sea turtles, in particular face several threats from plastic pollution to the destruction of feeding and nesting sites. Plastic bags can be mistaken for food and when ingested, potentially lead to death by blocking the sea turtle’s intestines.

As part of our Sustainability Plan, we are committed to having a minimal operational impact on the environment within which our resorts operate. This means taking care of the natural environment to ensure that sea turtles and other marine life do not lose their homes. Secondly, we also create awareness throughout our resorts on avoiding plastic pollution and respecting marine life.

Read our sustainability plan here and more about sea turtles here.

Happy World Turtle Day!

Travelling On a Budget

April 22, 2019

For most of us, the Maldives is on our travel bucket list, and with good reason. The beautiful weather, pristine beaches, crystal clear waters and vast marine life appeal to everyone. It is equal parts a romantic and an adventure destination, with much to do on both land and sea. With these tips, you can travel to the Maldives without having to spend all your life’s savings.

Plan

While spontaneous travel can be fun, it can also be an expensive endeavour. Planning well in advance allows you to figure out what your budget is, and what options are available to you within that budget. In terms of accommodation, the Maldives has a lot to offer ranging from luxury resorts and private islands to more humble and far more affordable resorts.

Innahura Maldives Resort is one such budget-friendly resort that allows you to enjoy the quintessential Maldives experience without the hefty price tag. While the price might be lower, the quality of service and facilities is not compromised. At this 3-Star resort, you can enjoy spacious, colourful beach bungalows, a stunning restaurant, two bars, a spa, gym and so much more.

Book In Advance

As with flight tickets, booking your resort in advance allows you to save more and take advantage of any special offers that are usually designed for Early Birds. These offers are typically listed on the special offers page of a resort website and promoted on the resort’s social media pages.

Innahura currently has a 40% special offer for stays between April 15, through and including October 31, when booked between April 15 through and including June 30. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have the vacation of your dreams for 40% less?

Leave Nothing To Chance

Visit the resort’s website and social media pages, and sign up for their newsletter. This gives you a chance to learn about the various things you can do at the resort and how much they cost. Additionally, it helps you know about upcoming events that might be happening during your stay. Plus, by following their social media pages, you can start figuring out where you want to take photos once you are on the island!
