Bank of Maldives Unveils Dynamic Currency Conversion Service

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially launched the first ever Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) in the Maldives. To unveil the new service, a distinguished ceremony was held at Meeru Island Resort & Spa on Monday, February 27, 2017.

DCC will facilitate transactions between travelers and expatriates from all over the world, and Resorts in the Maldives. Visitors will now be able to transact and view their transactions in their own currency, reducing the need to use USD. The details of the transaction will be available on the receipt received once the purchase has been completed.

The Dynamic Currency Conversion service forms a part of the BML’s program to expand the services it provides to businesses and supports the main currencies used in the Maldives through VISA or Master cards.
