A ground breaking ceremony was held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at K. Dhiffushi to implement the design and build of an integrated water supply system and sewerage disposal systems in K. Dhiffushi.
The project, as a donation from The Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation and Meeru Island Resort & Spa and Altec Maldives (Pvt) Ltd, will provide for a complete fresh water treatment and supply system, as well as environmentally friendly sewerage disposal systems for the entire Dhiffushi Island. Several members of the Dhiffushi community were in attendance and, as a neighboring local island to Meerufenfushi, guests from the Resort made an appearance as well.
In this ceremony, an agreement was signed between Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation, Meeru Island Resort & Spa and. Mr. Abdulla Saleem Abdul Sattar, Director of KASA Holdings Pvt. Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of AFT Foundation, while the General Manager, Mr. Walter C. Kauffman signed on behalf of Meeru Island Resort & Spa and Managing Director of Altec Maldives Mr. Ibrahim Naseem signed on behalf of Altec Maldives Pvt. Ltd.
